It’s a natural human tendency to assume that progress is linear; that success will arrive one piece at a time, in an obvious and orderly fashion, until the puzzle is finally complete.
It seems logical that we would know when we are closer to reaching a goal or further away from it.
But reality doesn’t always work that way.
We often feel the furthest from success when it’s just around the corner, or feel the closest to it when it’s actually far away.
The good news is, there are no prizes for accurately gauging our current standing.
What matters is that we stay relentlessly focused on our vision and take steps toward it every day until reality matches.
